My faourite player

My favourite player is Lebron James. He plays in the NBA. He is a great player, he is talland strong. He plays in a team called Cleverland Cavaliers. He went to the olimpic games with the USA team. He won a gold medal in the final against Spain, he was very important and scored lots of points. His position is pivot because he is very big but he also shoots for three points. He is one of the best players of the world because he can do almost anything. What I like most of Lebron James is his dunks(mates in spanish). He does very strong dunks with lots of power. He does the best dunks of the NBA. He is a player which scares the oponents because of his amazing strenth.

Spanish team

This is the spanish team wich got a silver medal in the olimpic games. They played really well against USA they should have got the gold.

In the NBA there is a night called the all-stars night were the best players play matches and have fun. This video from the all-stars night from last year. Watch it.

Canterbury Lions

Canterbury Lions

I play on a team called Canterbury Lions. It is a very strong team, at the moment it is one of the best teams of Canary Islands. We have been champions of the island two times, but we have also won tounaments on other islands. This year we were second so we went to the champinship of the Canary islans were only goes the best teams of each islands. We were fourth what is not bad but I think we could do a lot better. Last year I also went into the Gran Canaria selection. It was a marvellous experience.

My hobby is basketball. Basketball is a fantastique thing so is the NBA. The NBA is the biggest league of basketball in the whole world. There plays the best players of the world. In my summer holidays I went to a basketball camp with famous players.

The camp was in Madrid so I had to get a plane to there. There were lots of famuos players like Pau Gasol, Juan Carlos Navarro, Calderón... There we did numerous things to get better. We also played matches. There were also lots of good coaches from all parts of the world that taught us lots of interesting and useful things. The monitors were very kind and nice. They helped us with lots of things. I made lots of new friends from all parts of Spain. It was really great.

We stayed in a hotel at the centre of Madrid. The hotel was very good and it had 6 buffets. In a room slept 5 childrens, so we had not got lots of space although the rooms were big. We also visited some of the famous monuments of Madrid like Cibeles, the museum of the Prado...

Basketball is one of the sports most played In spain so nearly all people know what is about. In this blog I'll show you why it is so fantastic. I recomend you to play basketball cause it is a very interesting sport which contains lots of fun. You could play it at school, in my school it's the more popular sport.
